Fudge Striped Cookie Salad

It’s Super Bowl Sunday today, in case you didn’t notice.  I went to the grocery store this morning to grab the ingredients I needed to make this.  Wow, it was busy!  Everyone was doing the same thing as me, grabbing food for the event today.  Now I call it an event, because let’s get real, not everyone watches the game or even the ads.  Some people are only in it for the food.  Super Bowl Sunday is basically a less-formal Thanksgiving with much more beer.

My contribution to the potluck I’m going to today, on this informal holiday, includes fudge striped cookie salad and chips.  Easy enough.


1 large cartoon (16 oz.) cool whip
2 boxes vanilla pudding mix (regular sized)
2 cans mandarin oranges (15 oz. each), drained
1 package Fudge Stripes cookies (11.5 oz.), broken into small pieces

1. Let your cool whip thaw (you want it unfrozen) either in the refrigerator overnight or on your counter (about 30-45 minutes).
2. In a medium bowl add cool whip and vanilla pudding mixes.  Stir well.  Drain your mandarin oranges and add to cool whip mixture.  Break cookies into small pieces and add.  Stir until everything is well combined.
3. Refrigerate until ready to serve.  Enjoy!
